History

The institution's origins trace back to 1957 with the establishment of the University of Huế's Faculty of Science. Following the Fall of Saigon and national reunification, the higher education system was reorganized. In 1976, the faculty was developed into the College of Sciences under the re-established Huế University. A significant milestone was reached in 1994 when, under a governmental decree, the college was upgraded to form the current university. Throughout its development, it has collaborated with international partners like the French Institute of Research for Development and received support from organizations such as the Flemish Interuniversity Council.

Academics

The university offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its numerous faculties.
