World Federation of Engineering Organizations

World Federation of Engineering Organizations is a international, non-governmental organization that brings together National Academy of Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Institution of Engineering and Technology to promote the profession of engineering in the interests of United Nations, World Health Organization, and International Labour Organization. The organization was founded in 1968 by Unesco, International Council of Societies of Industrial Design, and International Federation for Information Processing with the aim of advancing the engineering profession and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Development Programme. The WFEO has its headquarters in Paris, France and is affiliated with International Science Council, World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations, and International Council for Science. The organization works closely with European Commission, European Parliament, and European Council to promote engineering education and research in Europe.
