Australian Space Agency

● History

The Australian Space Agency has its roots in the Australian Space Council, which was established in 1986 to promote the development of the country's space industry, with the support of Bob Hawke, the Prime Minister of Australia at the time, and Barry Jones, the Minister for Science.
