Blue Origin is a private American Aerospace manufacturer and Spaceflight services company founded by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon (company), with its headquarters in Kent, Washington. The company's primary goal is to develop technologies to enable private Human spaceflight and to make access to Space more affordable and reliable, with the help of NASA, European Space Agency, and other organizations like SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk. Blue Origin is working towards establishing a human presence in Space through its New Shepard and New Glenn programs, which are being developed in collaboration with United Launch Alliance, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin. The company is also partnering with Virgin Galactic, founded by Richard Branson, to advance the development of Suborbital spaceflight.

The history of Blue Origin dates back to 2000, when Jeff Bezos founded the company with the goal of developing a Vertical takeoff, vertical landing (VTVL) Rocket capable of carrying Humans to Space.
