Zundert. Zundert is a municipality and town located in the southern province of North Brabant in the Netherlands. It is internationally renowned as the birthplace of the post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh and for its annual Corso Zundert flower parade, a spectacular event featuring massive floats constructed entirely from dahlias. History

The area of Zundert has ancient roots, with evidence of early habitation found in the nearby Klein-Zundert region. It was formally mentioned in historical records as early as 1157, when it was referred to as "Sunderda". The town is indelibly linked to Vincent van Gogh, who was born here in 1853; the Van Gogh House museum is located on his birthplace site. Other cultural institutions include the Museum de Acht Zaligheden in Rijsbergen, which focuses on rural life. Traditional events like Carnival are celebrated fervently, with Zundert adopting the name "Knotsenberg" during the festivities. The local dialect is a variant of West Flemish.

The economy of Zundert has long been dominated by agriculture and horticulture. It is a national center for tree nursery production, supplying plants and trees across Europe. The region is also famous for its strawberry cultivation, with many local farmers engaged in its production.
