Sacred Heart Preparatory (Atherton, California) is a private, Catholic, college-preparatory school located in Atherton, within the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1898 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart, it is part of the global Network of Sacred Heart Schools and educates students in grades nine through twelve. History

The institution traces its origins to the 1898 establishment of a convent and school for girls by the Religious of the Sacred Heart on land purchased from the Hopkins family in Menlo Park. It initially operated as part of the San Francisco Convent of the Sacred Heart before becoming an independent entity. In 1930, the school moved to its current, expansive campus in neighboring Atherton, a property originally part of the Stanford family's Mayfield estate. A significant transformation occurred in 1974 with the merger of the all-girls Sacred Heart High School and the all-boys St. Patrick's Seminary preparatory division, creating the modern coeducational secondary school. Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the campus has seen substantial expansion, including the construction of the Carolyn and George Phipps Family Visual and Performing Arts Center.
