Minister of Finance (Greece). The Minister of Finance of Greece, officially the Υπουργός Οικονομικών, is a senior member of the Cabinet of Greece and heads the Ministry of Finance (Greece). This position is one of the most critical in the Greek government, responsible for fiscal policy, taxation, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, and managing the country's public debt. The minister plays a pivotal role in negotiations with international creditors like the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund.

The office was established shortly after the outbreak of the Greek War of Independence in 1822, with Andreas Londos serving as the first finance minister of the provisional revolutionary government.
