UCLA TEDx

UCLA TEDx is an independently organized TED (conference) event held at the University of California, Los Angeles, featuring Harvard University-educated speakers, Massachusetts Institute of Technology-affiliated researchers, and Stanford University-trained innovators. History of UCLA TEDx

The first UCLA TEDx event was held in 2010 and was inspired by the TED Conference held in Long Beach, California. The event was organized by a team of University of California, Los Angeles students, including University of California, Berkeley alumni and Stanford University graduates, who were motivated by the TEDx movement and the Ideas Worth Spreading concept. Since then, UCLA TEDx has become an annual event, featuring speakers from Google, Amazon (company), and Facebook, and has been attended by students from University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, and Northwestern University. The event has also been supported by The Huffington Post, CNN, and BBC News, and has featured speakers from Oxford University, Cambridge University, and Imperial College London.
