Stanford University Library's Digital Humanities Lab

Stanford University Library's Digital Humanities Lab is a cutting-edge research facility that combines Humanities and Computer science to advance Digital scholarship. The lab is part of Stanford University Library and works closely with Stanford University School of Humanities and Sciences, Stanford University School of Engineering, and other departments to support Interdisciplinary research. The Digital Humanities Lab was established in response to the growing demand for Digital humanities research infrastructure at Stanford University. The lab's development was influenced by the work of Stanford University Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis, Stanford University Humanities Center, and Stanford University Institute for Research in the Social Sciences. The lab's founding directors, Matthew Jockers and Elijah Meeks, played a crucial role in shaping the lab's research agenda and establishing partnerships with other institutions, including University of California, Los Angeles's UCLA Library, New York University's New York University Libraries, and University of Michigan's University of Michigan Library.
