Memorial High School

Memorial High School is a public high school located in the Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston, Texas, near the Energy Corridor. The school serves students from Frostwood Elementary School, Memorial Drive Elementary School, Bunker Hill Elementary School, and Spring Branch Middle School. Memorial High School is known for its strong programs in STEM education, fine arts, and athletics, and has produced many successful alumni, including graduates of Harvard University, Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Memorial High School was established in 1962, and its first graduating class was in 1965, with many of its early graduates going on to attend University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Rice University. The school was named after the Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas, which was named after the Memorial Park in the city. Over the years, the school has undergone several renovations and expansions, including the addition of a new performing arts center and a state-of-the-art science wing, similar to those found at California Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University.
