Johnston, Rhode Island is a town located in Providence County, Rhode Island, near the city of Providence, Rhode Island. It is situated approximately 10 miles northwest of Downtown Providence and is bordered by the towns of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Cranston, Rhode Island, Scituate, Rhode Island, and Coventry, Rhode Island. The town is also close to the Scituate Reservoir, a major source of drinking water for the state, and the George B. Parker Woodland, a nature preserve managed by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Johnston is home to the Johnston Memorial Park, which features walking trails, sports fields, and a memorial to World War I and World War II veterans.
