Garden City, New York is a village located in Nassau County, New York, within the Town of Hempstead, New York, approximately 20 miles east of New York City. The village is home to Adelphi University, Nassau Community College, and the Cradle of Aviation Museum, which showcases the region's rich aviation history, including the contributions of Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart.
