Clark Athletic Center

Clark Athletic Center is a state-of-the-art athletic facility located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, and is home to the University of Massachusetts Boston's athletic teams, including the UMass Boston Beacons men's and women's basketball teams, which compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. The Clark Athletic Center was built in the early 1990s, with the help of Boston Mayor Ray Flynn and Massachusetts Governor William Weld, who provided funding for the project through the Massachusetts State Legislature. The center was designed by Architectural firm Ellerbe Becket, which also designed other notable sports facilities, such as the TD Garden in Boston and the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The construction of the center was managed by Gilbane Building Company, which has also worked on other notable projects, including the Fenway Park renovation and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
