Band members

The longstanding core trio consisted of vocalist and guitarist Jón Þór Birgisson, bassist Georg Hólm, and keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson. The original drummer was Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson, who was later replaced by Orri Páll Dýrason. Following internal changes, Sveinsson departed in 2012 and Dýrason in 2018, leading to the current configuration where Birgisson is the sole official member, frequently supported by a rotating cast of touring musicians for live performances and recordings.
