Eindhoven University of Technology. History

The institution was established by the Dutch government, with strong advocacy from local industry and political figures, to supply highly trained engineers to the Philips company and other technology firms in the Eindhoven region. Its early development was closely intertwined with the Delft University of Technology and the growth of the High Tech Campus Eindhoven. A significant milestone was the 1986 decision to rename it the Eindhoven University of Technology, reflecting its expanded academic stature. Throughout the late 20th and early 21st centuries, it has deepened strategic partnerships with global leaders like ASML and the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research.

Campus and facilities
