Candice Clark

Candice Clark is an American actress and producer known for her versatile roles in independent film and television. She gained critical acclaim for her performance in the Sundance Film Festival-premiering drama The Last Light and later achieved wider recognition through her role in the Netflix series Chronos. Her work has earned her nominations for a Critics' Choice Television Award and an Independent Spirit Award.

Early life and education

Candice Marie Clark was born and raised in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Her mother, a teacher in the Seattle Public Schools system, and her father, an engineer at The Boeing Company, encouraged her early interest in the performing arts. She attended The Northwest School before enrolling at the University of Southern California to study at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. During her time at USC, she performed in numerous stage productions and was a member of the Trojan Knights.

Career

Clark began her professional career with guest appearances on television series such as CSI: NY and Cold Case. Her breakthrough came with a supporting role in the 2012 indie film The Last Light, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was later distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. This performance led to a starring role in the BBC America co-production The Gilded Cage. She transitioned to a leading role in the science fiction series Chronos for Netflix, which became a cult hit and expanded her international profile. In recent years, she has also worked as a producer under her banner, Clark Street Productions, which has a first-look deal with Amazon Studios.

Personal life

Clark married film and television producer David Fischer in a private ceremony in Montecito, California, in 2018. The couple are active supporters of several charitable organizations, including the Environmental Defense Fund and Planned Parenthood. They reside primarily in Los Angeles but also maintain a home in Vancouver, where Clark has filmed several projects. She is an avid supporter of the Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Storm.
