History

The brewery was established in 1999 by John Carr during a period of significant growth for the American craft beer movement. For many years, this site functioned as both a small-scale production brewery and a brewpub, allowing patrons to sample beers directly on-site. In 2014, seeking to expand production capacity and public access, the company undertook a major relocation to a larger facility on Big Boom Road, also within Lake George. This move coincided with increased demand for craft beer in New York and allowed for the installation of a modern brewhouse and a more spacious taproom.

Products

Adirondack Brewery produces a diverse portfolio of beers, encompassing a variety of beer styles. Its flagship and year-round offerings include the Bear Naked Ale, an American amber ale, and the Iroquois IPA, an American India Pale Ale. The brewery is also known for its seasonal releases, such as a pumpkin ale in the autumn and a maibock in the spring. Limited specialty batches and barrel-aged beers are occasionally produced. In addition to its own branded products, the brewery has historically produced private label beers for other establishments and contracts.
